Join us on 19 November for the opening drinks reception to welcome conference delegates and the GFMAM to the UK Chapter conference that will run over 20th & 21st November 2024. The conference will be held at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel & Conference Centre in London. 

Our theme this year is “Asset Management Excellence in a Changing World - from starting out to world class” 

Join fellow industry professionals and thought leaders to hear about and discuss the future of asset management and how the profession is adapting to a changing world. Our speakers will share experiences of how their organizations have evolved their practices to further improve asset management capability to meet and surpass increasing pressure and demands, unlocking greater value. 

You’ll hear how organizations are adapting to the changing world, embedding the changing asset management landscape to drive enhanced focus on purpose, value, leadership, and continual positive change. 

Key to our conference will be showcasing success stories and challenges through a series of case-study-based sessions – hear how your peers have overcome these, challenges and take that learning back to your organization. 

These Asset Management stories and workshops will occur across three exciting streams.

“Asset Management excellence” focused on companies and projects who are at the higher maturity end; “Impacts of a changing world” a stream to enable to share knowledge on the changing environment around asset management, and wider, including the impact it has on asset management companies, and then finally Stream 3 “Learning from each other” 

Stream 1 - Asset management excellence - an opportunity to engage with the most mature asset management professionals who are delivering transformation initiatives to take them beyond ISO55001 compliance to a new world focused on outcomes and unlocking value for the organization and its stakeholders. 

Stream 2 - Impacts of a changing world - hear from members of the GFMAM on what is changing in asset management in other areas of the world, explore the exciting advances in asset management thinking, including updates to the ISO55000 series and the expansion of the well-known landscape to a new 10-box model, and hear about how the changing world around us (climate change, political environment, stakeholder requirements) is influencing asset management strategy and decision making.

Stream 3 - Learning from each other - join those new to asset management, and those with experience to share to explore case studies from those building their maturity from innocent to competent. Engage and support the next generation of asset management professionals in the NxtGen poster sessions, hear how they are building their knowledge and competence, and how organizations focus on personal development.

Speakers and workshop facilitators will be selected from the abstract submissions. Our selection panel will ensure we present a diverse range of views, thought leadership, and best practices, creating a unique learning and sharing experience for delegates.

We are delighted to once again offer an Early bird rate for this event which will expire on 28 June 2024

What is Included in my Conference Ticket?   

The conference starts with an opening drinks reception on 19 November where you will get to network and meet the GFMAM. The conference will run over the next two days, during which you’ll hear from keynote speakers at the start and end of each day and get the chance to choose sessions from three streams of presentations and workshops during the day. 

During the evening of day one of the conference, there will be a drinks reception followed by dinner, where we’ll be hosting the second annual IAM UK Chapter Excellence Awards. This is a great opportunity for you to celebrate with conference delegates and colleagues the advances in asset management made by individuals and organizations. More information on how to submit an award entry will be announced soon.

Who is it suitable for?  

This event has something for everyone engaged with asset management.  Whether you’re new to the discipline, developing your career, or at the top of your game.   

You’ll gain insights into and hear first-hand experiences of those that are on or have achieved a successful asset management journey.  You can either listen to stories of challenges and success or join interactive workshops to discuss and explore the blockers and top tips for a successful journey. 

We attract speakers and delegates from a wide range of asset-focused sectors, covering industry and utilities, real estate and housing, transport, and many others.
