IAM Uganda Chapter Official Launch – 6th & 7th November 2025

History was made on 6th and 7th November 2025 as The Institute of Asset Management Uganda Chapter was officially launched at Silver Springs Hotel Bugolobi, Kampala under the theme “Advancing Professional Asset Management to Drive Sustainable Growth and Development.” The landmark event brought together professionals, industry leaders, government representatives, academia, utilities and private sector organizations committed to advancing asset management practice in Uganda.

The two-day program featured:

  • Opening remarks and keynote address.
  • A presentation on the value proposition of asset management.
  • A speech from the Guest of Honour.
  • Official signing and unveiling ceremony of the IAM Uganda Chapter.
  • Panel discussions exploring how asset management strengthens infrastructure resilience and sustainability.
  • Comprehensive Asset Management Training delivered by Cohesive our main event partner, providing participants with practical insights into principles, frameworks, and the value of effective asset management across sectors.

The launch of IAM Uganda as the first IAM Chapter in Africa marked the beginning of a coordinated effort to strengthen asset management capacity in Uganda and across the region. As the national chapter affiliated with the global Institute of Asset Management, the Chapter aims to build a strong community of professionals committed to advancing the discipline of asset management and supporting sustainable development through training, knowledge sharing, partnerships and professional development initiatives, supporting organizations in adopting internationally recognized asset management standards.
