If your organisation is a training provider, or you wish to include the Foundation Award in your company’s induction programme or graduate scheme, you can apply for endorsement to deliver the Foundation Award.
What is required?
To be eligible to deliver the Foundation Award, your organisation must first be appointed as an endorsed trainer. To find out more about being appointed as an endorsed trainer, visit the IAM Endorsed Training Scheme page.
The IAM appoints endorsed training providers all over the world. The scheme ensures that training providers deliver suitable, reputable and relevant training through knowledgeable instructors. The scheme is designed to be transparent and open to all, with reasonable and appropriate entry requirements. It is a requirement that endorsed trainers are first members of the IAM.
The training day will cover the following topics:
- An introduction to asset management and key terms
- Why asset management is important and the benefits that can be realised by organisations
- Good practice beyond managing assets, to include understanding stakeholder requirements, alignment of activities, managing risk, decision-making, team working, and an overview of ISO 55000
- The Individual and Corporate Journeys and resources to support them

If you are already endorsed by the IAM as a training provider, you simply need to complete the application form.
