The PAS55 Assessment Methodology (PAM) was initially developed in conjunction with a group of 29 UK and overseas sponsors from across a range of industry sectors. The sponsors were a combination of leading infrastructure asset managers and asset management consultancies and service providers.

The methodology was initially only available for use by this group of sponsoring organizations. The methodology has recently been improved by the IAM, using feedback from this group of organizations and incorporating changes to align it with the revised BSI PAS 55:2008.  The new version works with MS Excel and does not requrie special software.

Following “user testing” in its original version the IAM has decided to make this updated version of the Assessment Methodology available to full Individual or Corporate Members free of charge.
