You can join straight away into most categories of membership.  However, for full Member you will need to complete an Application Form.  If, for any reason, you do not already meet our requirements for full Membership, you will automatically be allocated to the grade of Associate and we shall refund the balance.  If you join as an Associate, you can upgrade at any time if you can meet the requirements.

There are two different forms: for Individual Membership and Corporate Membership.  If you would like to join the IAM please download the appropriate application form. When you have completed the form, please forward it to us as instructed (on the form).

When we receive your application, we shall send you a receipt.  If you post your form, please make sure we can email or telephone you in the event of any query.

Your form will be forwarded to the Membership Committee where it will be reviewed by an Applications Panel.  We shall then advise you of the outcome as soon as we can.  Please contact our office if you need to ask any questions before that. If you disagree with the decision of the Panel, you may appeal against it.  If that happens we shall explain the procedure.
