IAM
The professional body for through-life management of physical assets

Become a Patron

The IAM has been fortunate in its formative years in having the loyal and enthusiastic support of its Patrons.  Patrons help the IAM focus on relevant projects and work that will deliver the greatest progress for the discipline and practice of Asset Management.

The Patrons of the IAM are an exclusive group of Corporate Members who commit to a high level of activity and engagement with the Institute.  The list of IAM Patrons includes leading asset managers not only within the UK but increasingly worldwide.   In exchange for significant support to the Institute, Patrons have great influence not only on the direction of the IAM itself but also on the development of the discipline.

The contribution expected from Patrons is not only by means of higher subscriptions but, more importantly, by greater activity and contribution of people.

Existing Corporate Members (particularly leading asset-rich organisations) may be eligible for the President’s Invitation to be elected to this group.  The Terms of Reference are available for download on the right of this page.

We would be delighted to discuss with you the possibility of including your company – please contact the CEO.

Patrons have priority in becoming involved with projects and activities.  Representatives from the Patron Organisations are eligible for a number of exclusive meetings and seminars are made available at Board level.

Benefits in addition to those enjoyed by Corporate Members include:

  • Monthly meetings with world leading practitioners
  • Patron of IAM Logo
  • Direct engagement in development of the Institute
  • Opportunity to be elected to Patron membership of the Council

A number of closed events are available only to Patrons, for example, the Patrons Group has been involved in cross-sector dialogue with regulators to promote good Asset Management.

The benefits of Patron Membership may be compared with other Corporate Membership categories on this page.
